Peter Crome qualified as a physician from KCL in 1970. He is an Honorary Professor of UCL and Emeritus Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Keele University where he also served as Head of the Medical School. He has been President of the British Geriatrics Society and of the Section of Geriatrics and Gerontology of the RSM. He has edited books on Drug Treatment in Later Life, Pain in Older People and in Substance Abuse in Older People. He remains active. His current roles include Chairing the National Audit of Dementia and acting as the Dementia and Neurodegenerative Diseases Lead for the West Midlands Clinical Research Network.
